Box Turtle Legs

One of the two subspecies of Terrapene Ornata the Ornate Box Turtle or Western Box Turtle is an endemic reptile species in the Midwest Section of the United States. Box turtles have legs that are short stout and round with broad feet designed for walking on land. They are unique in the turtle world in this respect and this behavior makes them much more like tortoises.
